D&D General Why are so many D&D articles *garbage*?

There isn't an independent thought left on the internet. Everyone just parrots what other people think for them. Or at least until they find the meme that can express their current feeling, but a recycled meme will usually suffice.
 




Such articles are definitely plentiful too, but I don’t think they’re the “garbage” @Ancalagon is talking about.
I think I've given the wrong impression. I am saying that the "make a quick dnd article that will appeal to a lot of people" just isn't going to care about optimization, but may well be both genuine and be written by someone who understands the game.

The examples given in the OP aren't even bad, outside of the same poor writing we see damn near everywhere these days.
 


Like I just read the first article, and it's a mildly entertaining list with a couple cracks, and a great point about the decanter that couldn't quite fill out a whole article.

It's a better read than half my local paper. (not that this is a high bar)
