Why are there so few conversions posted?

In reviewing the old conversion library, the new conversion library, and the library of previous material that is still to be converted, I keep wondering why more conversions have not been done.

Are there conversions done that people just don't think are ready for primetime? Are the conversions done exclusively for a given campaign? Is it too much work for people to do conversions? Or do people just generally prefer to create from the ground up? Ami I missing something?

because it takes a long long time to get those conversions done.

it took me 2 weeks to finish G2 and that was with alll the text and statblocks 1/2way done for me..it takes TWICE that long for a full conversion. D1-2 has taken me almost 3 weeks to complete and I have not even posted stats for all the Drow in it..
