Looking at the warmage, I could never play one. They have no defenses. They can wear light and medium armor, but they have no invisibility, no shield, no dimension door, no displacement, no freedom of movement, no dispel magic, no protection from energy, no fly, no teleport...in short, they are utterly at the mercy of any creature that corners them, and with a typically low AC and d6 HD, that makes them meat. I'm glad you're enjoying the class, but I'd rather play a character that has the capability to get himself out of a tight spot when he needs to. The lack of any defensive magic whatsoever seems to be a serious flaw in the warmage class.
