Why can't I Laugh and Give XP to the same post?

I sometimes want to reward someone for making me chuckle.

Don't they both count as XP? If not, I'm never going to laugh again, I've got a guilty feeling I've got no xp. Okay, that's bad. I should never attempt to sing.

Hooray! I shall sing again!

Now, it does raise the question...how do y'all decide when to click the buton.

"Laugh with this post" is easy. Did I laugh. I click on it. Unless you make me laugh so hard that I loose fine-motor control in my fingers and end up clicking the close-tab "x" on my browser instead.

"Give XP for this post" = OW. Your post makes my head hurt. Must be good.

I give it when people:

1) make a good point
2) clarify or correct something
3) do or bring attention to something cool or important
4) etc.

if you accidentally hit xp, you can wait 3 minutes and undo it, then another 3 minutes and hit the laugh button
