D&D General Why Gnomes Are Awesome (+)

Yeah, we just need three subraces of gnome and perhaps just one type of halfling, (and "halfling" could just be a reference to a type of gnome).

In the Arcana Evolved setting by Malhavoc Press, Gnomes were called Loresong Faen and Halflings were called Quickling Faen. One race, three subraces. The third Faen subrace were the Sprytes.
