Why should Clerics be better than Wizards in Item creation?

To clarify my last post, I was wrong about the need to have a spell prepared (although I still say that Miracle wouldn't satisfy that requirement). Now I see how other people can interpret that Miracle can permit a cleric to create a wizard item*.

That quote was exactly what I would have come up with had I had by books with me at the time I read the thread. It answers my question exactly.

* By which I mean an item that requires a spell that only a wizard (or sorcerer of course) can cast. Sometimes it seems you have to explain everything.

BTW, does anybody know how to post I file on a thread? I have this excel file with items and requirements and someone might wish to use it (although it is far uncomplete...).
I believe all you have to do is post, then use the bottom field (right above the "Submit Reply" button) to browse to the file on your computer

I wish to add here one of my excel file: this sums up the DMG magic items, with the relevant requisites to craft it. I have tried to evaluate the needed level for a PC of a base spellcasting class (not yet prestige classes) to craft any specific item, but my time is limited and the sheet is only a draft at the moment, but a couple of people may wish to use it as a start. Please let me know about any errors.

note1: an asterisk (*) beside the needed level indicates the need to replicate spells with Limited Wish, Wish or Miracle, in case of course the DM or whoever decides they can be used in magic item crafting.

note2: Cleric domains may lower a spell level and therefore put a lower level requirement to craft an item
