In his latest blog entry Wil Wheaton, author of the Wil save column in dungeon magazine, describes his audition for the producers of the show and reveals that he's been contracted to play a crazy homeless guy as a murder suspect; though he fails to mention which CSI it'll be on (must be the original I guess). It'll be nice to see him on TV again. It's been awhile. Check it out: http://www.wilwheaton.net/ :D

I loved his page.... good sense of humor.
It will be intersting to see him on TV again. I am one fo the few that doesn't watch any of the CSI's, so when I know which one I will need to watch it. A good chuckle if nothing else. :)

I'll probably watch that one, then; good to see he got the part.

Agreed. Time to re-evaluate him as an actor. I haven't seen him in anything since ST:tNG. Something about seeing Wesley Crusher homeless and crazy is deeply humorous to me, in any event (not a slam, just an interesting switch-up).

I haven't really kept up with Wheaton's work, but I know he does the voice of Aqualad (recurring character) in the new Teen Titans cartoon.

It'd be good to see him as a regular, I never knew why people didn't like him so.

Yes, it is a bit fo a shame. Wesley Crusher might not have been the best character TV has ever seen, but one shoudl separate the art from the artist. He did as well with the part as I could expect from an actor of his age at the time.
