Pathfinder 1E Wildshaping help

I'm making a high level druid, and I'm looking for a refresher on how wildshaping works in PF, since I only ever played 3.5.

I've read the PFSRD, and I think I get how my stats will change. I'm curious about wild armor. If I get +5 wild dragon hide full plate, and a +5 large wild shield, do those work fully when I'm in beast form? Does having a 'shield' fused with me incur any sort of penalty? Or do I just get to enjoy a very expensive +20 bonus to AC?

Any suggestions on things a level 15 druid should know, or tactics worth trying?

RW - If you have the "Wild" ability on your armor or shield you do not incur any of the penalties to Speed, Dex, etc. That is why it is a +3 ability. Per James Jacobs on Paizo boards. However he does mention that if you are wearing armor you aren't proficient with he would apply some of the non-proficiency penalties.

The other big thing to remember is you are just using the adjustments listed in the Beast / Plant / Elemental Shape spells based on what size creature you are becoming. The exact creature does not matter.

Actually, if you read the Elemental Body spells, you'll see that size does not matter for them. You get the ability score (and natural armor) adjustments listed for that particular spell regardless of which size elemental you assume.

If you're above level 12, i'd recommend wildshaping into a Tendriculos, which is a plant shape. luckily with Plant Shape III you get the ability to shape into Huge plant creatures. What's nice about a tendriculos is that it has regen 10 (you only get regen five though), you get a boost con, and has three attacks. it's not very fast, but good reach and grab potential.

I've heard that wild shaping into a dinosaur is the "best" wildshape, but dinosaurs don't really interest me personally. Dire Tiger gives some good attacks and it's Large. Plus at that level you'll have pounce and rake, so you can grab and hold onto enemies and attack them.
