Will all of you Ebberon-buyers become Blackmoor-buyers?

Seems like an odd question. What does a taste for Eberron have to do with a taste for Blackmoor? If anything, it seems likely that a good many Eberron buyers are specifically looking for a reprieve from classic settings, of which Blackmoor is an example.
Ah, I guess what I was getting at was along the lines of "will there be as much hype on these boards for Blackmoor as there currently is for Eberron"? Dunno why I failed to phrase it that way, though.

Well then, the answer is a solid NO. After all, Blackmoor is only a 30+ years old setting, whereas Eberron is brand spanking shiny new, and made by Wizards to boot!

...

(I'll be getting Blackmoor)

I will definately be having this.....To bad we can't see a new Greyhawk done by Gygax...
You'd be surprised by the number of GH gamers that prefers the Carl Sargent's version over the Gary Gygax's version.

Though not an Eberron buyer, I'll buy Blackmoor sourcebook out of nostalgia. It's the least I could do to pay tribute to co-creator of D&D, Dave Arneson.

OBTW, I hope he is in better health now.

As some people have already commented, it is not at all clear why is this thread directed to Eberron buyers.

These days, adding the name Eberron in a thread's title is a trick to attract people reading the thread, especially if it is to say something unpleasant or vaguely provocative. Like using sexual metaphors to sell food or cars.

Personally, I would be interested in geting Dawforge, Eberron, and maybe Blackmoor, maybe. However, I am only running my homebrew campaigns, already have two setting I don't use, so it's enough.

I think the second part, that it's made by Wizards, will have more to do with it than anything. Both Dungeon and Dragon magazine are supporting it, it already has a 32 page adventure, it will have sourcebooks and other goods, like novels and CRPG's supporting it. It's big.

Blackmoor is a classic fantasy setting that to be honest, not much was ever done with due to various legal issues. How many pages of Blackmoor ever saw official print as opposed to 3rd party? I have the original books including Temple of the Frog and everything, but I just don't see why peopel would expect Blackmoor to be touted about like Eberron.

If someone writes some in-depth about the Lost City of the Gods, I'm all ears. :)

My sentiments exactly!!!!!!!!

I looked at the Blackmoor setting table of contents and saw no City of the Gods.

That and the high-tech gizmos is what makes Blackmoor so intriguing but they don't see to be anywhere in sight!

Go DEATH EGGS! :p
