I would totally run a paladin 1-30 in DL with the goal of killing off their supposedly LG patriarch god, as justice for all the innocent children slaughtered when he dropped a mountain on that city. Balls to the wall, dude, and let justice be no respecter of persons.

Paladine sacrificed his godhood in order to render Takhisis mortal, so that she could be run through with a dragonlance by Alhana and Porthio's son Silvanoshei in the War of Souls trilogy.

But yeah, it's OK. I forget sometimes that folks don't exactly pay attention to DL as much as I do.

Oh, me too. But it's not exactly the baseline for Dragonlance.

I think the setting that is best suited for the 3-tier framework of 4e is Mystara. 4e feels like BECMI to me.

I too will chime in on the Kult-love. I'm already working on a D&D setting where the big problem is the disappearance of the demiurge.
