Will psionics be in PHB 2, and when is PHB2 released? :)

Option I
-Barbarian (Primal, Defender)
-PsiWarrior (Psionic, Defender)
-Shadowblade (Shadow, Striker)
-Druid (Primal, Striker/Controller)
-Bard (Arcane, Leader)
-Illusionist (Shadow? or Arcane?, Controller)
-Sorcerer (Arcane, Controller)
-Necromancer (Shadow, Controller)
-Psion (Psionic, Controller)

Option II
-Barbarian (Primal, Defender)
-Soulknife (Psionic, Striker)
-Shadowblade (Shadow, Striker)
-Druid (Primal, Striker/Controller)
-Bard (Arcane, Leader)
-Ardent (Psionic, Leader)
-Illusionist (Shadow? or Arcane?, Controller)
-Sorcerer (Arcane, Controller)
-Necromancer (Shadow, Controller)

There is a last problem, and it's the unfinished Divine power source. I strongly believe PHB II will close the cycle on both Divine and Arcane classes. And will also feature the Primal power source for sure. The last question is: will it feature the Psionic power source or the Shadow power source? So, all my above speculations may be completely off.

EDIT:

SURE BET: (6 classes)
Primal power source: Barbarian, and Druid.
Arcane Power source: Bard, and Sorcerer.
Divine power source: Crusader, and a controller (name??).

WILD GUESS: (3 more classes)
either Psionic power source: Psychic Warrior, Soulknife, and Psion.
or Shadow power source: Shadowblade, Illusionist, and Necromancer.

I also think that the PHB II will have only Primal, Psionic and Shadow power source classes, and I think the Arcane power source splat-book will have the bard (arcane leader). There will also be a Martial splat-book, and most likely a Divine one to fill in gaps/cover bases.

Note: they have stated they are not obsessing about filling out the power source/role grid, so we may never see classes such as this Martial Controller some people are clamouring for

So far for the PHB II, I'm speculating:

-Barbarian: primal defender

-Druid: primal striker (I would prefer leader)

-Illusionist: shadow controller

-Necromancer: shadow leader

-Psion: psionic controller

-Psychic Warrior: psionic defender

-Sorcerer: primal controller

-Elementalist/Assassin (shadow striker)/Soulknife (psionic striker)/Hexblade (shadow defender)…?

Arcane Power source: Sorcerer.

Where do you get that, we already have an arcane everything:

-Bard: leader

-Swordmage: defender

-Warlock: striker

-Wizard: controller

I'm pretty sure the Sorcerer will be primal, maybe a controller – elemental and environmental control etc, though he could be a primal striker, but it looks like the druid is taking that.

IIRC the game designers stated, when questioned on the Martial Power book, that it won't feature any new classes. And that, from now on, they only plan to release new classes in core material. Splatbook will be dedicated only for new powers, paths, and destinies.

I thought they said that Illusions/Charms and such would be the MO of Psionics
It's a good possibility. But Illusion is strongly linked with the Shadowfell in W&M, and there are wizard spells with the illusion keywords, that's why I linked it with either Arcane or Shadow.

Okay, that would be fine by me, but again I ask, why do you think the Sorcerer would be arcane and what book would it debut in (I think it will be primal in the PHB II)? Also, what book will the Bard (arcane leader) debut in?

We know the Swordmage will be in a FR product.

Yes, they have stated illusion is heavily tied to shadow; arcane has some illusion, but not as much as shadow. Just like arcane has some charm, but not as much as psionic.
