Heck no! But I'll "offer" them.

You have to be aware of the EULA which prohibits the sales of modules by anyone other than Bioware. In other words, you aren't allowed to create a super-duper-all-time-fantastic module and then try to make money from it. In fact, that module you make will belong to Bioware if they decide to later distribute it or sell it for money themselves. THEY RETAIN THE RIGHTS TO ALL MODULES CREATED BY THIRD PARTIES.

If anybody thinks I am misinterpreting, by all means correct me.

Ouch. Frankly that sucks. Imagine if Wotc retained ALL rights to modules ever made by third parties. I'd personally 'make' a donation to good module makers. How many good Doom designs/unreal designs are there out there even though the tools have been around for age?

I'm not saying module makers should quit their day job, but if I like their modules, I'd encouraged them to do more of them by giving some financial incentive.

We allready knew we couldn't ask for money for things made for NWN, but if i liked a module/skin/monster/whatever enough, i would certainly donate some money to the soul(s) that created it. I'm pretty happy with the fact that others can't make money off NWN, computercode is a lot more complicated than printed text, and look at how many D20 companies are allready fncking up. No thank you, let Bioware develop it further and reap all the profits, god knows they earned it (how long was this game in development again).

As has been said many times already, the EULA is exactly the same as that used by the various FPS's. If it didn't prevent something like Counterstrike emerging, I don't see any problem as far as NWN goes.

I'm not so sure...

Check Ebay for listings of items for Diablo II, Asheran's Call, Everquest... I think you'll find quite a lot. Just because they retain 'ownership' doesn't mean people won't pay to get the right to access the data (ie, have it on their characters/computers/dungeons, etc..)

The problem with those games you have mentions is that they don't enforce their EULAs, even though all of them expressly forbid such actions. Should they ever to decide to, those things will for the most part stop.
