Win98 or IE doesn't recognize long filenames, causing problems when installing applications with long filenames with the first eight characters the same (such as DatabaseInstaller.exe and DatabaseInfo.nfo, for instance). One file will over-write the other.
I was told to remove:
Registry Settings
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ControlFileSystem]
Value Name: NameNumericTail
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
but it doesn't exist. Any other ideas?
