With a resounding dull thud, health care is not struck down

I've seen some really good arguments that we *should* shop around for our doctors and hospitals, but we don't because we've all gotten accustomed to insurance "handling" it. I know I've shopped around for doctors outside of emergency situations. I shopped around for my vasectomy a couple years ago. (Bad V, Good V)

I am currently shopping around for an ENT/audiologist.

Bullgrit

It is pretty easy to shop when you're having a elective surgery, but another matter when it comes to accidents and various diseases and conditions.

In some cases, it is essentially impossible. When my grandmother was having a stroke, my father- an MD- tried to have her sent to a certain hospital where he knew she'd get top-notch care.

No go: by law, first responders had to take her to the closest facility. We were free to take her ourselves, but it is not easy to transport an adult human who cannot move themselves, especially in an emergency.

"Judicial Bitchslap" needs to be the name of a string quartet that does covers of punk tunes.

Aurgghh! What! no lyrics?

How about somebodies coming up with a 2020's fifth generation of "Lambert, Hendricks and Ross" to do a vocalise group (or even a single song) named "Judicial Bitchslap?"

I mean, Manhattan Transfer might be able to essay that -- but they're not quite as "1950's" without the inspiration of Jon Hendricks.
