Wizard Or Sorc.

A big equalizier, it seems to me, is a feat in Races of the Dragon. Versatile Spellcaster, I think that it's called?

Whatever the name, it allows a spontaneous arcane caster to use two lower-level spell slots to cast a single higher-level one. So you can use two 0 level spells to cast a 1st level spell, two 1st level spells to cast a 2nd level spell, and so on.

Seems to add a lot of power to the Sorceror, and makes those lower-levels slots useful even at the higher levels.

In my experience the more experienced players tend to play wizards and newer players tend to play sorcerers. If it means anything Ive found that the two are generally pretty equal and you should play what you think will fit your concept best.

Only if you want the other warlocks to say "Hey now! We paid our debt to the Lower Planes! No fair you just have to buy some some measly dragons!" :p

But that's just me. ;)

Measely dragons?! Io rules over ALL!!! :]

If you are adept at figuring out what kind of challenges await you during the day, and have a great degree of control over the pace, then what you want is a wizard, no question.

If you are more often than not set upon by unforseen obstacles, and if the pace of your challenges is out of your control, then you most certainly want a sorcerer.

If you enjoy playing Gauntlet, and wish to do so with dice, then what you want is a Warlock. ;)

Felix,

Now that's just being mean! Warlock is about one thing, blast, blast and blast! :p :)

Gauntlet my foot. :p

Fru,

Well Io certainly has a lot more going for him than Ao does. Whether or not he can be an over power...is debateable.

And yes compared to Orcus, most dragons are measely. :p
