Do wizards gain too few feats to buy what is out there for them?

man, since 77.50% (62 people, so far) believe they are all right, I guess they have some credit, maybe I just gotta see a wizard played all the way to the 20th level... what seemed to be the problem anyway...

I just think there are too many item creation feats. Staffs rods and wands should be grouped into one feat, potions and scrolls into another, and rings and wondrous into another.

I can't picture a spellcaster taking craft staff, rod or ring when wondrous item is so much more versatile or wand which is a lot cheaper.

I've been thinking along these lines myself. Except that I thought of:

1. Scribe Scroll/Brew Potion (1st Caster level)
2. Craft Wonderous (3rd caster level)
3. Craft Rods and Wands (5th caster level)
4. Craft Arms and Amour (5th caster level)
5. Forge Ring, Craft Staff (12th caster level)

But yours makes sense if you are strict about the creation level of rings and staves. At least one ring in the DMG is noted as having a creator level of 5, I can't remember which.
