So what do you think about Wizards of the Coast's idea to sell naming rights for spells in the D&D game system? The way I understand it is that for a "reasonable" contribution (to the WotC coffer), you'll be able to have one of the newly unnamed spells renamed in your honor. -- Mordenkainen's Sword, for example, could become Nutkin's Sword, or Bigby's 'hand' spell series could include Bugaboo's Grasping Fist (or whatever).
I'm not sure what Wizards is expecting for a minimum bid, though. How much would you be willing to pay to be immortalized in gaming culture for at least 10 years? (And, yes, the contract specifies that the naming rights are only good for a decade at a time.)
