I just read one of the best books I have ever had the pleasure of reading and need to share it with the world. Hugh Howey is a fantastic writer and deserves to have a bigger audience. My review is pathetic, so I'm not going to paste it here. Go to the Amazon page and read the others. They're not wrong. I am normally quite worried about things that get only good reviews, but they're all quite correct. Wool deserves every star and glowing review it gets.

The description on the site doesn't begin to capture it. "This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside."
