WorldGen V1

Hey guys, just wanted to let people know that I've made a World Generator that spits out fractal maps (and can make maps based on JPG and BMP heightmaps) at any squared resolution (I.E. 512x512, 1024x1024, etc) and I'm also working on a map editor that will let you place mountain/city/rivers/roads and such. It's all free, and all I ask for is feedback. If you like it enough to donate, I'd be tickled pink, but it's not required ;) Donations spur my interest to get the map editor out quickly :D Any suggestions or additions you think would be prudent are always welcome.

Thanks!

Well, I did one world, 512x512 on my PIV, 2.1 GHz with 256MB RAM. Took almost 6 minutes to generate the picture, and it was mostly water. Granted, I said random, so that's understandable.

6 minutes?! Did you have a lot running in the background? I've had an 800mhz computer spit out 1024x1024 in a minute. And you might want to heighten the gaussien number to .65 or more if you want more land on small maps.

I had to kill my Seti@home client because it caused my maps to generate in 5+ minutes.

Just a quick example of a map I made in less than an hour with WorldGen V1 and photoshop. It's got quick graphics work on it, so hold the laughter down to a minimum :)
