[Worlds and Monsters] My sense of wonder is back

Astral Ships were around 2e's Astral Plane as well (githyanki pirates hunting giant astral whales). I don't remember if they were mentioned in 3e, but if they were, no one made that big of a deal about them. :)

Its in the Manual of the Planes (3.0) and previous editions. The ship is probably an astral carrack. According to p. 52 of MotP, an astral carrack is a Colossal Construct that are usually built by githyanki.

On another note, I scaled back spelljamming capabilities in of the flying ships of my campaign world. I have one empire that builds them, and this realm basically uses rules from Eberron (Lyrander airship). A spelljamming version of the ship (i.e. fly into space) is just a few more expensive and fantastic additions (probably involving binding a very dispirited air elemental into the 'helm').

I like the World, and that's good because the pre-Spellplague Forgotten Realms will be hard to play in 4E D&D. Guess I'll be DMing in POL-World, which is a heck of a lot more interesting than FR now...

Just a bit of trivia, the traditional spelling is "Drwg" and it's Welsh for "Boy".

Oh, your grubbly razoodock does not know the nadsat? Come with me and my three droogs, and viddy a fine flickshow with us after moloko plus and a night of the ol' ultraviolence. Real horroshow.

With apologies to Anthony Burgess.

Velocet, synthemesc, or drencrum?

Anyway, don't go around punching people in the litso – not nice.
