World's smallest sovereign power is an order of knights founded 1,000 years ago

Eh, The Knights of Malta (really the Knights Hospitaliers) wouldn't be nothing if King Phillip hadn't kicked the Templars in the junk and took their stuff and gave it to the Knights of Malta.

King Phillip = D&D Adventurer. ;)

Well, Sealand isn't recognized by any state, it takes no part in international affairs, it can't even recieve mail since it's mailing address is in the UK. It's not a nation, a family of squatters on an old British gunnery platform with delusions of grandeur. What happens when Sealand's population of 2 or 3 die of old age, has the entire "nation" died out?
heh, I have a low flame hate on for the whole Sealand phenomenon (slightly the actual squatters, but mostly the fanboys who seriously cling to their non existant statehood) ever since my time on Slashdot. :]

King Phillip II of France was a piece of work. A sneaky, conniving, underhanded, corrupt rat bastard of a monarch who'd stoop at nothing to increase his power and wealth. It's largely thanks to him that the French branch of the Catholic Church gained a large degree of autonomy from Rome, laying the foundation for the despotism of Cardinals Richelieu and Mazarin. Compared to him Lord Soth is a scout leader.

Sounds like me on a light day.:)

Who'd ever thunk a Monarch could be so evil.
