How about...

The claustrophic twisting 10'x10' passages open up to the 50'x60' Goblin Cavern. 2 large fire pits in the center are each surrounded by 1-16 goblins (short swords, javelins, 1-6gp, 1-4cp). Reinforcements swarm in from the side passages from the sounds of battle.

My person favorite part is the way in which they prioritize the information.

Yes! I once had a DM who did the exact same thing! Unfortunately, I picked up his bad habit. I'm getting better at it, though.

If done purposefully and skillfully for dramatic effect, reversing the order of information can work wonderfully. But it is likely to fail horribly when read from a module, instead of using the words and pacing of the DM's own voice.

Let's see:

You enter a low room with a very high ceiling. It is completely circular, and in one corner, you see a large bonfire illuminating the whole room. Through the gloom, you can barely make out the various furniture. The room is mostly empty except for the tapestries. In the middle, a big monster stands. It turns around and charges you. One of the tapestries depicts A heroine in a mauve cloak sniffing flowers - mainly daffodils, but some tulips and roses - but only black ones.

Ah-huh-har! I'm in!

The door opens into a room with another door in it. The room is 10ft by 10ft wide and the door is on the west wall, which is on your right. The door gets stuck on something on the floor and the ogres in the room hear you. There are three ogres, which are looking at you. The three ogres charge you and attack you all at once!
