This is just another ploy in Microsoft's drive to crush the open source movement. I've heard that Massachutsets is considering filing an anti-trust suit to block the acquisition. On another front, I've heard that SCO is claiming that it purchased the copyrights to OD&D fifteen years ago and is going to start charging licensing fees against everyone who owns a d20 book. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in court.

Hah. Now that I've read all of the news pieces released today, it's pretty obvious this is an April Fools joke. I'm certainly relieved. I suppose it serves me right for only glancing at the first news piece on the website. I’m usually really good at figuring out when something’s an April Fools joke.
