WotC acquisition by MS press release (April fools)

We should all look at this as an opportunity... With the OGL, we can keep writing our own material. The moment we post something Microsoft likes, they'll rush in, flood us with lots of money, and buy the material to incorporate into the next version of the DnDOS (formerly known as the SRD).



Sure, we relinquish our copyright to the material, and it will be hailed as yet another wonderful Microsoft invention, but over all I think concerns that this is a bad thing are greatly over-exagerated.

This thread is my little april's fools to the community. Whoever reads my first post and thinks I was hooked by the first page "news", well, the joke's on him.

The trick was to build my little phrase, and get it right the first time, because if the post is then edited, then your proof is gone.

Grammatically speaking, the press release should be ludicrous but not sad...and I'd prefer "lingering sanity" to "longing sanity," because I don't even know what "longing sanity" is.

At Steverooo's suggestion, this thread's title has been modified with the "April Fool's" tag so that international conflicts and WW3 can be avoided.

For those reading this and not reading previous posts (like I often do), this was a troll on my part, designed to make ENworlders beleive that the MS/WotC merge-thing got me hook-line-sinker, but the proof that it was fake was dissimulated in the first letter of every word in the first phrase of the first post.

I hope no-one was harmed by what was intended to be a quite tame prank, and I cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect psychological or physical damage caused by the reading or passed-on information of this thread or any other threads directly or indirectly being spawned by it.
