edit: I'm sure that it's a quote from a famous movie, but I can't remeber which. So my version might not be the correct one (though it's grammatically more correct than yours).

I think it'd be "la lumière pâle"; I don't think you'd ever say "la rouge chaise", for instance.

It's obviously a present tense question, you mean he meant :Are you making yourself dance never with the devil in light of the moon pale?"

And none of this is valid because we should be quoting him in double angle brackets (chevrons?): «like this» (Though I'm sure it only looks right in Windows.

We do say "la pale lumière", and it would be a bit clumsy to say "la lumière pale de la lune", well less cute if you prefer

Though be warned that between é and er I tend to make a lot of error
