Probably best you change your vote to a "No" then, LightPhoenix. Right now I see noe feasible way of doing it other than by PayPal.

How about I fly to England and give you money personally? ;)

The thing is, my answer is more yes than no. If there were any other means, I would do it. I can get one of my friends with a PayPal account to send you the money, I just wouldn't be happy about it. But hell, that's life, no?

Sorry to be pragmatic and up-front, but Morrus:

I will give the boards the $25 when there are close to 300 supporters.
Give us the running tally, and I will send money when it is apparent that we will reach the threshold required to grant the features that I'm most interested in.

edit: found the list.
That list of 7 users will get larger quickly, I'm sure... (I hope)

Happily awaiting the time when this system becomes official and the word goes out for us to donate the $25.

As for the person who said Paypal is a non-FDIC aproved bank, the FDIC said in their opinion PayPal is NOT a bank, and they do NOT need FDIC approval for the service. See, for example, http://www.newsbytes.com/news/02/175195.html . I can't imagine what your objection to PayPal is, since they do not make any loans, nor do they physically handle or hold funds placed into the PayPal service. Therefore, there is nothing for the FDIC to insure.

I consider the $25 for this site to be a wise investment of gaming funds-- way better than any splatbook.

And (shh! don't tell Ryan Dancey!) it's easily worth twice that.

Your turn now...

The list of supporters is rapidly growing (I think about 20+ as I write this post). I signed up last night, opened a Pay-Pal account, donated, and everything in about 10 minutes.

Like everyone else has said, these boards are a great resource, even better since they're free. I don't see giving $25 as highway robbery. That's on par with the mediocre-to-slightly-good splat-books and other sourcebooks for D&D, and the sheer amount of useable material here is amazing.

It's a nice gesture to Morrus and the entire community if you help out this cause. Plus you get a cool custom title :D:D !! (pssst... that's the best part)

I fully understand being in a financial situation where you can't afford to donate, having recently left such a situation myself. But, if you've got $25 just laying around, taking up room in your wallet, send it on over to ENWorld. You'll feel good about it, and you'll be helping out an entire community.

We've done our part, it's your turn now.
