I put neutral. I wasn't buying Dragon or Dungeon. I also am not buying WotC material, anymore (not a protest, they just don't have anything I want), so I don't really care what they do online.

I'm buying 3rd-party d20 and OGL material: Troll Lords (C&C stuff), Necromancer Games, Goodman Games, and OSRIC products, mostly. I'm also buying PDFs of out-of-print material (TSR and Judges Guild) -- I get some of those from Paizo.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Paizo does with Necromancer Games, and I'm interested in the proposed "book of collected stand-alone adventures" that Erik mentioned in one of the threads.

I am computer guy a lot. It is my work and bring me lots of fun. But I like reading books and magazines printed in high quality of professional printers, binded and boughted. Under different circumstances, I would be tempted to try the WotC stuff. But not now. Now I will boycott them.

I am pretty happy with resources I have and I am not in desperate need of new ones. So this time, I will give my money to somebody else. Let's say White Wolf.

See you next time Wizards! Hope, you will behave yourself.

To me there is way to much "the sky is falling" going on. Was I upset that Dungeon and Dragon mags are not coming out any more? Hell yes I was.

But having said that, I think that there is a good chance that WotC may make a good fist out of this and do a good job. I think it will look a lot like Dragon does now.

I also think that a lot of people will take this up, unlike a lot of people on this board do.

But of course, this is just MHO.

Well does anybody think they have a significant market that Enworld is unrepresentative of? Cause I see 90% in the bottom three boxes. That's bad.

I might have been willing to give online WotC content a go if they hadn't taken Paizo to the cleaners for it. That they dramatically stepped down their online content in the past two years doesn't help anything either...

Now, YOU'RE making me angry. :]

I wouldn't know. I can't subscribe.

Yes, we vocal minority are outweighed and outnumbered by the silent majority.

It's speculative. The question is being asked months before it will go into effect, with no details about the proposed content or price, the day that the announcement was made, with no option for "I'll wait and see."

What until some of the above changes and see what sort of reaction the question gets.

Jakar, its not so much "the sky is falling" for some of us as outrage that's akin to walking into your favorite steakhouse for a nice, juicy steak and being told that after September, they'll only be serving soyburgers.

The magazine cancellations are not going to kill the hobby.

They WILL tick off a lot of people- and the alternative being offered may not fare well.
