WWE KNOW YOUR ROLE Demo

I got ahold of a cut-and-paste version of the upcoming WWE: KNOW YOUR ROLE RPG demo that was passed out at Gen Con and I have been trying it out with some friends. It's definitley D20/OGL. but with some tweaks. I have to say it is fun, fast-paced and better than what there is of Wrestle D20. I would be interested in hearing what anyone who played in the demo at Gen Con thought of it. It's coming out in December from Comic Images.

I'm one of the playtesters for this. There's nothing public so far, aside from the GenCon handouts. I know they're starting a Yahoo!group fan list soon. They may be adding some stuff there. I'm not even sure the company producing it (I think the same people that make the Raw Deal CCG) has anything on their website about it yet.

Demo & Fan List

Are they going to post the demo for download? That would help promote their game.

One is available at http://theforums.macharbor.com/viewforum.php?f=34 and an "unofficial" demo at http://williamhillard.bravehost.com/WWE Know Your Role Demo.htm.

For the Fan List:
Group home page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WWERPGFan
Group email address: WWERPGFan@yahoogroups.com

It's an open group, anybody's welcome to join to talk about the game and pro wrestling in general. The demo files (in MS Word minus the nifty layout and pictures) are now up in the group's Files section as well.

Tony gave me the okay to answer some general questions about the game if anybody is curious. Keep in mind there are some things I can't elaborate on yet, but I'll do my best.

I guess I should be able to figure this out but is this some Play by forum thing or is it actually going in print...? :D

It'll be a print product. It's being made by Comic Images, the same people that do the WWE ccg called Raw Deal. I believe they're shooting for a December release date for the core book, with the first supplement to follow early in 2005.

Haha... cool! I figure this'll be a great game to run at any gamecon! :D
I wonder if it'll hit the stores in Sweden though... wrestling hasn't been really popular around here since early/mid ninties or so. I just heard this week that a Swedish channel is going to air WWE RAW though. Maybe it's time for wrestlemania among the Norse again? ;)
