WWE KNOW YOUR ROLE Demo

Getting the crowd into things gets you Heat points. You can get them with a really good interview, doing big damage with a move, stuff like that. Heat points get you all kinds of benefits, but you have to use them up to use finishing moves and some other special abilities.

Managers would have an easier time affecting the card lineup than most wrestles will, mostly because of some special abilites in their class. Not to say a wrestler with a high reputation and some backstage pull can't do it, they will just have to work a little harder.

I'm not sure what you mean by a Survivor Series campaign. A survivor match would probably just use the regular tag rules, with 8-10 participants. There will be rules on running long term campaigns and how to structure your game session to run similarly to Raw or Smackdown. Of course, if you're running a game that you want to feel more like ECW or a Japanese promotion, you can do that too.

Since the WWE is licensing the game, most of the stuff they'll be doing will be focused on them, but the game itself is flexible enough to handle a number of "styles". For example, if you wanted to run an ECW game, you'd just ignore countouts and lower the DC to avoid disqualifications.

The original release date is around Christmas, 2004. It depends on how fast the WWE can approve the core book (not very fast from what I heard), and how fast the printer can turn it around after approval... If it ends up being delayed, Comic Images may push it back to a WrestleMania XXI (March/April 2005) release.

Sounds awsome, cant wait for it to come out so I can run a better show than I've been seeing on tv lately.Just as a question, everyone is supposed to play multiple wrestlers right?

In most gaming groups, everyone will probably need to play multiple wrestlers. If you've only got a 4-6 person group, everyone could make 3 or 4 and you'd have a good sized roster pretty quickly.

Damage is similar to a wound/vitality system. Similar, but not identical. Stamina is where you take most of your damage, but you also need to spend some Stamina to do certain moves.

Plenty of pre-made moves are included, but making up new ones on the fly is simple. Suplex, no problem. Superplex from the top rope, no problem. Superplex from the top of a cage onto a steel chair, still no problem. If you've seen it on RAW or SmackDown (and even if you haven't) you can build it as a move.

Characters are class based, but rather loosely. It will probably remind you of d20 Modern. You've got Power (STR), Aerial (DEX), Rough (CON), Technical (INT), and Savvy (CHA). A character like Mankind would probably be all Rough levels. Ric Flair would be a mix of Technical and Savvy.
