WWE KNOW YOUR ROLE Demo

I would like to pre-emptively offer my condolences to the printer and wish them luck on their Sanity checks.

Behold the glory of the web enhancement! :D Seriously, though, I can see where you're coming from. After all, doesn't the new theme music CD include songs from people that were let go just days before the CD was released?

So you would have to scale down the character? Have two seperate stat blocks on the unofficial "Indy Guy Character Sheet?"

It all just depends on how you want to play the guy in your home campaign. If you think the guy should be an equal to someone like Triple H or Eddie Gurerro, you can write him up that way. If you want him to be the guy who gets one cheap pop for claiming to be from the same town as the crowd and then get squashed, he probably only needs to be first or second level.

Another thing to keep in mind is you may not want your favorites in squash matches all the time. I'm not sure if the xp system has been finalized, but serious considerations were being made about the level of your competition and your xp awards. If all your other stars are already in matches for that night's show, it's better than nothing, but you probably wouldn't want to make a habit of it.

Bad thing about that is that my favorites are usually the ones being squashed...

I'm Sold

The Demo shows solid mechanics, I'm hoping the rest turns out that way

Well, they're looking to have the book out near Wrestlemania '05. If you search YahooGroups for WWEfan (I think) they'll have an expanded preview with some of the playtest material in the next couple of weeks.

A newer demo ("Promo 2.0") has been uploaded to the Files section of WWE RPG Fan Yahoo Group (www.wwerpgfan@yahoogroups.com). It includes an abridged character generation to create your own wrestler of 1-3 levels, as well as revised and expanded combat rules!!! There's even a pdf file for those "allergic to MS Word doc file" :D Anybody can just drop by, sign up and download the new demo, no moderator invite needed. Hope this will tide interested players over till the game's target release date of WrestleMania 21. Let me know how you like it.

Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

Tony
