Xvarts?

Incidentally, "Raxivort's Orgy" comes from a Dragon article about holidays that may have appeared in one of the annuals. I think it was by Andy Miller, but I could be mistaken about that.

Thanks Erik - he may be...just may be able to answer the question better considering he's the author of said module.

Excellent work Erik - this mod set the perfect tone for Living Greyhawk! Now if only I'd have run the others in the series.

Xvarts played an important part in the RPGA Year 1 Adventure called The River of Blood. The module caused quite the controversy due to the fact that it involved perceived child molestation by said Xvarts. Nothing was graphically spelled out but a DM could misconstrue it as such and relate it to the table. A revised version updated the text to explicitly state that no such attack(s) occurred.

I'm not sure how Xvarts kidnapping young human girls to unwillingly participate in their orgy could be misconstrued. No molestation had taken place by the time the PC's rescue the girls, but it was definitely planned.

orgy
One entry found for orgy.
Main Entry: or·gy
Pronunciation: 'or-jE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural orgies
Etymology: Middle French orgie, from Latin orgia, plural, from Greek; akin to Greek ergon work -- more at WORK
1 : secret ceremonial rites held in honor of an ancient Greek or Roman deity and usually characterized by ecstatic singing and dancing

It is at least feasible this is what was meant.
