(YB Meta) A rough draft for a new path

Interesting looking, and yes having a powered up item even at Higher Tiers is pretty much impossible except for the sash anyway. Inner Focus seems strange, I would recommend it ends up being the same as Style/Location immunity end up however they finally work out just for the sake of ease of judgement . Once the current issues are resolved I'd be inclined to some exact number crunching, at a glance it seems to have a disturbingly high rate of poings and bonus damage as well as a great variety of powers that shut down other paths, one of the things that results in low tier Sash getting so few fights, there's no incentive to fight a Monk either, at least you can get Yen off sash. I'd be inclined to agree with the Supreme Mastery comment, I'd prefer it to be unique to the honor path , perhaps a choice of any of the other 3 modifier bundles except wealth? Also Perfect Defense or Perfect Attack would sit well with me, as it would mirror the sash path well (not to mention they'll choose PD anyway its a way better power).

Hrm, I think it would be more balanced if it had only 1 sig style and 1 sig loc, and moving the chi strike to the last tier. It would make sense to place this path exactly where the sash path is placed, along with it inbetween honor and yakuza.

In terms of it fitting in with the other paths, I feel that the Honor Path really covers most of the concepts in terms of flavor, just having to add in item (monk's belt, or sandals or whatever) to cover more Chi Strikes or similar. IMHO, of course :D

Maybe the Monk's vow of poverty forces him/her to donate any generated Yen to the fighter they are facing in battle? That would be a BIG incentive to fight them, despite their defenses against everything but items...
 

nah, then everyone would want to fight them, lol. Why would he give money to someone who just beat him up, or someone who he just beat up...?
 

To be honest.... I like this new path idea alot..... and not having an item or yen warrants this paths powers to be a little more potient than the rest in my opinion......

How about something like unholy warrior for monk path..

Honor Bound: If said monk gens any yen during the match... and loses said match.. all yen gen'ed by the monk is awarded to his/her opponent who has won the fight??? it may need rewording but hows it sound??
