Sorry, could you please put "Rini Judging" next to your title? It took me forever to remember which one and where the thread was.

Anyway, it may have come from a dead mind, but an entire empire being unnecessary is a whole lot more than just a master being irrelevant.

Insults to Shou Ren!

~The ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the swamp south-east of the Spring of Life on the dusk of the manticore.~

Quite a fitting place if you ask me.

Oh, and thank you for not wanting to hurt my friends. I would have had to beat you both down for that.

OOC: Since you didn't post a move, I'm guessing you want me to go first . . .

The mantis seeks above the rapids; ruthlessly grasps the drive of the star!

The necromancer closes his eyes, and raises his hands, palms upward, to the stars. For an instant, their intensity seems to flicker, to diminish, as Bright calls upon their power for his own ends. He slowly brings his hands down, so that one palm, clouded with ebony eldritch power, faces Shou Ren. He opens his eyes.

"Let it begin."

Five dark rays shoot forth, rapidly closing in on the wizard! The seeking jets of destructive sorcery fly twords their mark, their ends now elongated and thinned to resemble the scythes of the mantis.

Time seems to cease as the ruthless obsidian blades draw close to Shou Ren. How will the masked wizard react? Bright waits to see what havoc his spell will wreak.

Shou Ren's mask glints in the flickering starlight as he turns to address the judge. "Your pardon, mistress," he intones.

With one gauntleted hand, the masked wizard traces a rune in the air, which sends forth pale tendrils towards Rini's furry friends. The animals yowl with pain and fear as the rune swells and blossoms into a huge scorpion, a translucent thing formed of shadow and smoke. Bloated with animal life-force, the scorpion spirit scuttles toward the Bright Necromancer. While its claws reach up to grasp at the dark scything rays, its venomous tail lashes out at the Necromancer's unprotected body.

The scorpion wracks the orchard; absorbs the chi of the feline!

::The hyena (whom is not a cat or of the cat family) who was at Rini's side races toward Bright, stopping short of the necromancers own dead spectators, limping toward them and starts nibbling on an arm that seems to have fallen off.::

Ok, Shou Ren, I don't care how cool you make anything look, LEAVE OFF MY ANIMALS!!!! I told you guys that I was grateful for you not molesting my critters, and what do you do? I don't think so!

::Rini, not intending to get in the fight, but annoyed, manifests a hammer made out of light energy to keep beside her incase anyone does that kind of trash again so she can smack them into Flat Surfaces R Us (serving your planner needs for 30 years!)::

'Sides, Brights was much more interesting.

0 Shou Ren; 1 BN; Goal:5

And please put "Rini Judging" on your title thread or I may lose this thing again.

Without a word, Shou Ren plucks a seed from his pouch and flicks it towards his opponent. Landing at the Bright Necromancer's feet, the seed twitches, then burrows into the earth of its own accord, sending up a puff of dust.

A moment later, an enormous, fiery lotus blossom bursts from the earth beneath the Bright Necromancer's feet! Its fleshy crimson petals, initially open, begin to close around the Necromancer. In the blink of an eye, the burning blossom enfolds him completely within its cavernous depths.

Can the Bright Necromancer escape a hellish demise within the flower's crushing, fragrant embrace?

The lotus blossom punches within the hells; negates the drive of the cave!

Ciaran! Wow! you complain about me messing with your undead, and then go and say that Bright is trapped in the bit flower without my permission! You should have said something like it seeks to engulf him, not jumps on and eats him! Well, we can assume that bright dispells the thing at the last moment or whatever, If he wins the round.

The scythe eliminates the temple; protects against the cut of the field!

As the seed glides twords Bright's feet, he quickly traces a glowing rune of black light in the air. The ruin explodes outward, cutting the the Shou Ren's scorpion to pieces!

As the hellish plant erupts into existance around Bright, he lays the tips of three fingers from each hand on the fiery petals, hoping to ward off encasement in the demon plant.

Bright fixes Shou Ren with a cold, hard stare, his black eyes seeming to pierce right through the mask. Taking one hand off of the flower of flame, he points the same three fingers at Shou Ren. The outstretched digits glow red with the magical heat of the deadly blossom, yet instead of diminishing, the heat seems to increase, grow more intences and bright. Bright squeezes his eyes shut, partly in concentration, but partly to avoid the blinding light now eminating from his finger tips. Suddenly, with the roar of a thousand furnaces, a plane of heat rushes forth, a scythe of flame, set to eliminate all in it's path. The inferno rushes twords the masked enchanter, as Bright disappears beneath the embrace of the blazing blossom.

(You are correct; I violated the rules with that move. I concede the round. On a related note, don't we clear the field after each round? I assume that stuff doesn't linger on from round to round; that could get confusing. Am I wrong?)
