(YBA) Lovecraft in the Cathayan Tombs

Lovecraft holds the weak flame infront of him to keep the undead thing at bay while he stabs again with his makeshift wooden weapon.

The snake moves across the clouds and nails Blackrock Pass; aggresively averts the kick of the flame as it unrelentingly parts the violence of the lash! *yen*

You continue to fend off the ancient carcass as it fumbles for your throat. Convulsively, you stab the thing over and over, producing great puncture wounds from which thick, sweet-smelling fluid oozes. Unfazed, it leaps at you, fist outstretched.

Lotus Mummy (1/3) attacks you: The fang punches close to the atoll; leaps over the blood of the club!

Lovecraft keeps stabbing and stabbing with his dagger like piece of wood. "Will this thing never fall?" thinks Lovecraft.

The dagger dominates the shrine; reduces the energy of the bird!

Finally, the undead abomination crumples to the floor in a puddle of dark liquid. Its shape collapses as dirt spills from its torn and punctured linen wrappings. The vines and flowers crumble to ash. In the wrappings, you find some copper jewelry worth 1 yen.

You gain 2 hits defeated.

After searching the room, Lovecraft will gather some of the mummy's linens to use with his makeshift torch. Then he will go back out into the hallway and continue down the way he was going.

The hallway continues to curve to the left. As you'd determined by feel, there are indeed carvings in ancient Cathayan on the walls. Among the inscriptions are pictures of strange jungle landscapes, whose near-human inhabitants sprout buds and branches from various orifices.

After a short distance, a straight corridor branches off to the left.

"Very strange. This vile plant life is new to me. Too bad my book has been destroyed or I would make some drawing of these writings. "

Lovecraft will go down the branching hallway to the left.

You walk a short distance down the new hallway. It is slightly narrower than the previous corridor, and does not curve. Up ahead, you see two more archways, one on each side; the hallway continues past the archways.
