You will ALL love GNOMES! Dark legacies feature #1.

Red Spire Press

First Post
Well its time for our first mini feature!

In light of the widespread prejudice against gnomes in the general discussion forum, we've decided to make these little buggers the focus of our first feature.

These are not the gnomes you know and hate. There is no prancing about in fields of green. There is no tinkering with contrived devices. And there are certainly no... stinking.. illusions!

“We are King Gregor’s 1st Legion of Combat Inventioneers. ‘In Iron We Trust.’ We are fallen to the last, buried under the rubble of our ruined homeland amidst the corpses of many more legions of our enemies.”

“We are Novdy Ottor’s 2nd Legion of Combat Inventioneers. ‘In Steel and Strength is Victory.’ With renewed determination we will drive out the darkness and take back what was taken from us.”

this book does not fit my campaign, it is too high tech for me personally. gnomes play only a tiny role in my world and this sounds a bit on the dark side for the theme of Maissen.

that said, this book is as good as bought.

did you see that art?!?!?!?

MINE! MINE MINE MINE!!!

It certainly is on the dark side, but don't discount the technology aspect just yet. Dark Legacies is *not* a steampunk setting. You won't find firearms and you won't find (much) use of steam tech. That being said, it does exist. But its at the same level of rarity and value as magical artifacts might be in magically-focused settings. Also, DL is more grounded in the real world in terms of "how things are(tm)" so you'll find varying technology levels across cultures and nations rather than one gold standard.

I'd like gnomes a whole lot more if the book were free.
;)

Yeah well if you pay our operating costs you'll be the first one to get a free book when its printed. :)

As an aside, for future features we'll be posting polls to find out what the good folks at enworld would like to see next.

Estimated ETA? 10 months?

There's a layer of hell for publishers who make eager buyers wait that long for their product...
