Your fantasy job?

As a corollary to DungeonMasterCal's Enworld vs. Real World thread, let's pretend that we are currently doing the jobs that we'd love to do, regardless of the pay, or success.

So, tell us what you'd love to be doing as if it were your real job.

I'll start.


I'm a composer of classical music. There are several CDs of my compositions that are available having been performed by various orchestras including Chicago, Seattle, and New York. Next month, the Seattle symphony orchestra will be premiering my much anticipated symphony #3 in B-flat major.

For me, I think it would either be college professor of history or working for a group like Doctors Without Borders in almost any capacity.

I just want to know, at the end of the day, that I have made the world a bit better, rather than a bit worse.

Amen to that.

If you ever get the opportunity to not have a job, I highly recommend it. I was unemployed for a year or so and aside from the no income part (I did collect unemployment and had saved a good amount of money though), it was great. Working sucks.

So I guess my dream job would be to win Powerball or a rock star.

Pretty much what I do now, just on a bigger scale. With extra space for dedicated learners.

More like a ceramic education center than an studio.

Providing materials and space and housing to young potters and sculptors who show promise, running a small gallery based on work produced on site and having a community outreach that taught (free) art lessons and provided art materials to schools.

Involve the group studio in the production of a large piece for some urban p[rettying up once a year and you pretty much have my paradise.

If anyone out there would like to donate 10 acres and $100,000 my phone number is....

Be a script-writer for TV and movies. Although, as a pharmacist I have a pretty sweet job right now, and my gaming lets me exercise my writing talents.

So, really, I'm already there.
