Your Favorite RPG Supplement, for any Game, Period

I was going to say the Marvel Superheroes Ultimate Powers Book, but it's already been listed.

I waited forever to get hold of this book back in New Zealand. Having played MSH for years, I was eager to pick up the UPB and the ads for it in Dragon magazine didn't help matters. When I finally did get it, I was thoroughly disappointed! It reinvented hundreds of powers, included far too many energy manipulation/production/generation powers, was at times incredibly complicated, and the chargen system included in the book was responsible for some really hopeless characters (such as the water-breathing plant-talking hero with Feeble Strength and Endurance who had a fatal vulnerability to violence). The errata and additions in Dragon magazine didn't make it any better.

My favorite RPG supplement of all time? The Boy King, for King Arthur Pendragon. Soon to be replaced, I suspect, by Greg Stafford's The Great Pendragon Campaign when I pick that up at GenCon Indy next month.

Cheers,
Cam

Shoot me a note, Cam, once you've read it: I'm curious! :D

Arcana Evolved

(Though it's not a "supplement", I'd say the most useful book to me has been Robin's Laws of Good Game Mastering.)

This is a tough question. There's a solid dozen other products that would fit on my top 10 list.

Modern Player's Companion

All the stuff that should've been included in d20 Modern but was left out. Where you find my d20 Modern core book, you'll find the Companion as well.

I can't pick a single favorite, so I'll add my "list":
  • The 3rd Edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting
  • The Age of Worms Adventure Path
  • Sharn: City of Towers
  • The G-D-Q series of modules
  • The Dark*Matter Campaign Setting for Alternity
  • The Complete Masks of Nyarlathotep
  • Shadows of Yog-Sothoth
  • Delta Green
  • The 1982 Greyhawk Boxed Set
  • S4: The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth
  • ParanoiaXP (technically not a supplement)
  • City of the Spider Queen

The Kalamar DM screen (3.5) RAWKS!! I bought 4 of these. I still use it for my C&C game just for the price lists and equipment lists alone. Oh, and the poisons and diseases.

I use my KoK dm screen all the time. Don't know if I'd go that far, but it's pretty nifty.

'Cept I use the 3.0 version. They really trashed cover and concealment rules in 3.5, and that's one table I always use.

I'm probably going to get laughed off the list for this but... <i>"Shadow of the Spider Moon"</i> the Spelljammer universe.

Well again, I personally wouldn't go that far, but did feel it did more for the setting than any of the original products did.

Elements of Magic - Revised Edition by Ryan "RangerWickett" Nock. Arcana Evolved comes close, but I get more use out of EoMR.
