If I have to pick one thing, I couldn't. If I had to pick two things (kind of), I would have to say my Dragon and Dungeon magazines. Lots of good stuff I can borrow for my homebrewing pleasure.

It's a tie:
1. Delta Green: I love Delta Green. It's great. I've never actually seen a live copy of Countdown, so I have difficulty believing it might be better.

2. Universal Brotherhood: I don't care as much for the module part, but the fiction part runs a chill down my spine whenever I read it.

3. The Tyranny book for the original version of Rapture: The Second Coming.

Now, none of these books have been all that useful to me. My group just doesn't groove on CoC overall, and when they have been open to it, it's been the 20s, not the Nows.

The group loves SR, but I just can't make the spirits as creepy and evil as presented in the UB.

Nobody in my group even wants to bother trying to play Rapture.

But useful or not, those are my favorites.

My favorite RPG books, aside from the PHB, DMG, and MM's include:

  • Chaositech
  • Death in Freeport (and the rest of the original trilogy)
  • Freeport: City of Adventure
  • Eberron Campaign Setting
  • d20srd.org (ok, it's not a published product, but it rules)
  • Ptolus: City by the Spire
  • d20 Call of Cthulhu
  • Expanded Psionics Handbook
  • Mutants and Masterminds (1e)

These are, of course, in no particular order.

I'm probably going to get laughed off the list for this but... "Shadow of the Spider Moon" the Spelljammer universe.
Actually, it's in my running for top three, competing with Exalted 1e's Games of Divinity (containing what is unquestionably the coolest Hell in gaming) and From Stone to Steel.

The supplement I use all the time would be The Codex of Erde - campaign setting book for Castles & Crusades.

But some of my favorite supplements include:

'83 World of Greyhawk Boxed Set
Castle Zagyg - Yggsburgh
Ravenloft Campaign Boxed Set
2E Arms and Equipment Guide
Frostburn

:D

1. Universal Brotherhood - Shadowrun.

2. Denver, City of Shadows - Shadowrun.

3. City of Lies - Legend of the 5 Rings.

4. Planescape - D&D.

5. Star*Drive - Alternity.
