Ok, time for my own
Command story from last session. Our entire party had been captured by the bad guys and chained to a wall overnight. Wracking our brains abourt which spells we could cast with only Verbal components, my Cleric stumbled upon
Command.
So... as a Clr5 with Extend Spell, I filled up my ENTIRE contingent of spell slots with Command spells, including two doubly-extended ones.
The bad guy shows up (one of a set of demon thingies that can take over other bodies) surrounded with a group of ogres. I wasted my first double-extended Command spell on one of the ogres, who turned out not to understand Common (AARGH!

). I used the second on the BBEG, who to my surprise actually failed his save. Command: Help! Figured I would leave it up to his superior intellect to find a good way to help us in the remaining 18 seconds. Unfortunately the [/i]DM's[/i] superior intellect decided to have the BBEG go get the key (AARGH again!

) Then I wasted some more casting Command: Help (in orcish) on the ogres, who were unfortunately unable to pull our chains off the fall... We called it a night at that point
We later figured out that I should first have explained to the BBEG how he could have best helped us: by voluntarily leaving the body he was in, and enprisoning himself into the artifact we've been carrying around for that purpose (and which he was holding at the time). If I had cast Command: Help then, it might actually have worked.
PS: we're still hanging there as I speak, next session is next week Friday. Suggestions, anyone?
