Personally having trouble with the complexity of level 10 characters, I literally cannot get my head around remembering all relevant details of a level 40 PC! Are your games mostly social/pureroleplaying? Or do you fight entire armies?![]()
A lot still challenges my players. Hell I nearly killed the Sorcerer 10/Fighter 10/Bladesinger*10 with 4 trolls each with 4 levels in a class. (Barbarian, cleric, Sorcerer, Ranger) .

Role-playing social and political situations are probably a good 70% as fights tend to take a while to play out depending on how many characters involved on both sides. The players have a lot of allies (NPC's) they call up to help them so it can get fairly complicated.
Not really fighting armies per se yet, but taking on the VBBEG minions who are spread out around the world who are trying to bring about a massive change and downfall of everything and the players doing what ever they can to stop them and to stop a God War from happening tends to keep them tied up. Then there are the various kingdoms and city states that have tensions and possibilities of wars they are trying to stop. Plus they have a few kingdoms that have gotten on their “to be handled list” as soon as they can get around to them.
Challenging them is not a problem, watching the players try to figure out which block they pull out the stack before everything comes tumbling down is fun. And they give the ideas of where to go next or what ties in to other things without even knowing it.
