You're a 3.5 Enchanter. What are your opposed schools?

What about the concept you want to follow?I think the selection of the schools you'll give up, greatly relies on that.

Generally i would give Evocation and necromancy if i wanted my character very subtle,
or necromancy and illusion if i knew i will have to deal with enemies immune to mind-affecting spells (undead,constructs..)

Most overrated spell ever.
Totally agree.

Interesting responses. I'm surprised at the number of people willing to ditch illusion! Among my friends, the first thing a caster does in combat 90% of the time is cast some version of invisibility. The guys I play with see it as absolutely essential to survival.

I've ditched Illusion (with my fire genasi Evoker). Invis is the only spell in the school I've ever really missed, but that's what they make potions of Invisibility for, isn't it?

If I'm keeping an entire school for one spell, that spell better taste great, be less filling, and let me turn lead to gold. ;)

I've decided to ditch conjuration (eep!) and evocation because of specific role-playing reasons germane to the character concept.
