  • Clerk of the Stairs

    Each Clerk of the Stairs is stationed in the Royal Palace.

    The duties of a Clerk of the Stairs include, but are not limited to:
    • Serving as scribes and schedulers for each Head Chambermaid.
      • Are technically the superiors of Head Chambermaids, but the interactions are by necessity cooperative, not superior/inferior.
    • Reports to the Chatelaine, but are not considered part of her immediate staff.
