OOC: The thing is, no one is going to blame you if you don't take on the dragon immediately, or at all. Heck, you don't see anybody else burning up the road to fight him! Even Crus is hiding out in Twain, apparently.

in the interest of public service:
"Perhaps we should establish a secure base of operations to begin hostilities against the dragon. We do have a considerable collection of items that might be useful and better still items that could be traded for things we need," suggests Tylara simply.

Still In Boris Stenker's Inn -- The Lonesome Drake in Pembrose...

The wizards have only to decide upon a course of action, and proceed to get after it. The wizards have been approached by the elf, Arshaenphys, for assistance to his tribe in defeating the Dragon Larentiss. The wizards have also come to believe that they can take up residence in the old, abandoned keep where they defeated the hobgoblins, and upon so doing they can petition Lord Kyle for permanent possession of the keep. And there are plenty more adventures available in Quail Valley for those who look....

OOC: You're all beginning to get uncomfortable in the inn. The chairs aren't as comfortable as you remember....oh, wait! Maybe it's because all of you have your thumbs up your butts? Can we play here?

OOC: Sorry been having connectivity issues with the site. Seems to be working this morning.

"We are wealthy and successful adventurers now. We don't we get out of this Podunk tavern and enjoy the fruits of our labors? Let's try and hire some men at arms to hold that keep we kicked the hobgoblins out of and get some craftsfolk to make it livable. In the meantime we should venture back to our Alma Mater and see if we can unload some of the stuff we pulled out of the tomb. Maybe trade it for some dragon fighting gear and do a little research. Then we go visit Arshaenphys and..." She stops in mid-sentence her cool eyes suddenly going very wide. "Hey, what was that Drow's name? Larin? and this dragon we are facing is Larentiss? Does that seem a little odd? That can't be a coincidence can it?" She calls the tavern keeper over. "Tell us Goodman, is their anyone particularly old or knowledgeable about the history of this region we might visit? A scholar, sage or historian?"

"Well, there's old Grandpa Smithers, he sure don't seem like no sage to me, but he is old. Smartest feller in these parts has got to be old Magus Crus, you remember him, don't you? But seeing as how he lives clear over in Twain, more'n'a good day's hike from here in Pembrose, you might want to settle for Grandpa Smithers."

"Thank you Boris, you've been most hospitable and helpful. I think we should go see this 'Grandpa Smithers', unless you two have more pressing business?" She stands and glares at her companions coolly.

Leaving The Lonesome Drake

Another old-timer eating his applesauce in the Lonesome Drake tells you to find Grandpa Smithers in the Sunny Orchard Old-Folks Home at the edge of Pembrose. You go there and present yourselves at the front desk. Aside from the oppressive, lingering odoor of stale urine, the Sunny Orchard looks to be a fairly nice place. Grandpa Smithers is soon hobbling toward you using a cane for support of his feeble, aged frame. "Nope, don't know you fellers, and Elf lady. You sure you lookin' fer me?"
