The VOIDRUNNER'S CODEX is coming! Explore new worlds, fight oppressive empires, fend off fearsome aliens, and wield deadly psionics with this comprehensive boxed set expansion for 5E and A5E!
I've implemented something like this that is toned down slightly that I like. I've house ruled that Skill Focus (only) provides the normal +2 bonus and raises the skill level cap by 2 (1 for cross class). I like this since it's not too much for me to worry about with my players (and I've seen...
I once thought rogues only got to apply thier sneak attack once each round as well, it is incorrect however.
I think the error/misconception lies in sneak attacks and some attacks like with shirikens. If you throw 3 shirikens with one attack, only one has the ability to add additional dice...
On occasion I like humorous names. Two that I remember fondly were both from an old Gamma World game. I forget which was first but one was a mutated elephant called Olly, and the other (my fave) was a mutated spider who stood 20 feet tall and weilded 2 pole arms and 2 sheilds named Itsy.
Good...
I really like this "house rule". I also like this thread for bringing up this issue. I've always assumed a change in Con always represented a change in hp. So much for ASSuming :p
Yes. Having run a barbarian a few times I can tell you that adjustments to Con effect hit point totals retroactively.
Good when you gain Con, bad when you loose it.
Wow bobacus, nice stuff. If you feel like it please take a swing at either of my previous two characters.
The first is a HUGE Arabian-looking human barbarian. 6'3" fat and missing all of his front teeth. He wears no armor but owns a nice set of leather bracers that keep him well protected. His...
Check out Traps and Treachery, it's like a monster manual for traps.
One of my favorite traps involves a typical pressure plate that when stepped on sprays the area with blood. It also opens a pen located further along filled with very hungry animals that can smell the blood. Not exactly...
To allow for the Hebrew roots of the Catholic faith simply allow the character to have as part of her background access to an older set of rules and traditions towards viewing The One God. At some point these rules would have to have been reformed or revised by an individual who brings a greater...
Oh oh oh ... monster pogs ... with 1" diameters and skulls and crossbones on the back to indicate they are killed. Excellent cheap replacement to minis and easier to pick up than cut outs of paper. You could even include some "special effect" pogs that would randomly generate some sort of effect...
I had to go with the rust monster. There's nothing like a monster that can't do a single point of damage but scares the crap outta most adventurers!
Gelatinous Cube, Green Slime, and Rot Grubs rank up there pretty high with me too.

Exactly how I feel about these classics!
I do love the Against the Giants series ... wasn't very fond of the Descent series, and loved the Queen of the Demonweb Pits (mostly due to the giant mechanical spider lair)
I also loved the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth too.

Kobolds are my favorite simply because the are so often under appriciated. I especially like tree dwelling kobolds ... that confuses the heck outta players ;)
After that I really like the Naga and the Ixichiallica, Ixizil..., Izizll...., the evil manta rays ... but I only like those because no...
Yeah alsih2o ... I've found most of the things I hate in others I can usually find in myself :( So it's my duty to expose it just as much in myself :)
