Check the DMG updates. The DC tables on page 42, which are referenced by the skill challenge system, are heavily changed. Also the Skill Challenge system has several changes.

Yeah it's ROLEplaying. But the human feat in 3.x made the other races choices seem worse. I played an elf sorcerer. Lagged behind the party in effectiveness. Played a dwarf fighter. I wasn't as good as the human fighter. It's not apparent at first level. Not even second or third level...

I really liked 3.0 when it launched. I played a sorcerer with spells from the Diablo expansion. For a while the game was fun. Then they started making splat books for the classes. Ninja of the Crescent Moon.... Suddenly the game was not so much fun. But we still played and we made house rules...
