Chances are my players will soon be involved in a conflict too large for traditional D&D combat rules. After doing some research I found that Slavelords of Cydonia from Badaxe games seems to have a pretty streamlined, well put-together mass combat system. The trouble is I'm really only after the...
You don't need a feat to do this. You can apply sneak attack to pretty much anything that requires an attack roll (if you have a volley of rays a la Scorching Ray, the sneak attacks only apply on the first one).
It helps a lot. If you continue going only rogue you get some more class features...
After you run out of spell warp sniper levels (it's only 5 long if memory serves) Unseen Seer is a good continuation as well. You'll wanna take practiced spell caster because while you don't actually loose caster levels, one of it's class abilities reduces them for non-divinations spells and...
I am AFB and I might be wrong on the formula for estimating the cost of a custom magic item, but I think an item that grants a continuous effect of the heroics spell with cost about 6,000 gp. Sounds good to me.
My E6 Bard1/Crusader4/Warblade 1 is taking leadership! Eventually i will have a leadership score of 18 and taking the close cohort feat. This will give me a 5th level Cohort, 1 4th and 1 3rd lvl follower, 3 2nd level followers, and 35 1st level followers. I really don't know what to do with...
I dunno what the Master of the Yuirwood but i can tell you that Vow of Poverty is pretty much never worth it unless you are hellbent on the role-playing aspect of it. The benefits pretty much never compensate for the lack of magic items.
Thank you for being polite and giving great advice, this is why i come here.
But yeah, careful planning will be involved. I'm not one for interparty conflict either, in fact I'm usually the guy trying hardest to avoid it but the DM and I both agree it would be a good direction for the story to...
This might be a bit of a text dump
I joined an ongoing campaign about five sessions ago in which i am playing a Strongheart halfling Rogue1/Conjurer5/Spell Warp Sniper1/Unseen Seer3. I joined a pair (halfing druid, human cleric) that were on a mission from farlaughn (sp) to travel to Namfoodle...
If you have the Dungeonscape book there is a great fighter alternative class feature. I know you want to keep things simple but you should at least check it out. It's called dungeoncrasher and it's awesome. You give up your 2nd and 6th level fighter feats but you get bonuses on saves an AC vs...
poor BAB (not a big deal for a 1 level dip) good reflex and will saves and the persona masks ability. At level 1 you have two masks, they are pretty much items that just give you cool abilities. In addition to the exotic weapon proficiency, the gladiator mask gives you a +1 bonus to attack and...
Ahhh, well you could take one level in the master of masks PRC for the gladiator mask (proficiency with all exotic weapons) and use a jovar and a lucerne hammer. This way you have the options of bludgeoning (for skeletons) slashing (for zombies) and piercing (for who knows what).
