I bought it. I can't say it was very good. I really hate the coloring, it's too murkey.

    Conan/Conan II

I've seen that 2 pack around my area as well. It is the directors cut of Conan 1 with the standard Conan 2. The directors cut makes a great movie even greater.

    Sell me on Ravenloft

If you like Hammer movies, Ravenloft is the setting for you. Ravenloft, to me seems smaller, more personal, than most settings. It's also much more roleplay intenseve than the average D&D setting. Ravenloft also provides atmospheric tools to keep players on track for a storyline.

    Shadowrun: sell it to me!

What really scared me about shadow run was just how plausable it seemed . I'm talking about the aspect of global corperations running America as if they were mini governments in sort of a cold war. Each Corp. developing an security force to protect they property/identity when the U.S...

    [Dragon] Fiction in Dragon

I was in the dump it category for years untill I actualy read one. It had this cool Justin Sweet piece of art and was about a barbarian named Fool Wolf. I fell in love with the character and the world. It led me to buy "The Waterborn" by Greg Keyes, a great novel set in the same world. Now I...

What WotC does better than other D20 studios. (mild rant)

I guess the Slaine series by Mongoose could be my ideal example. It started with a campain/players book followed by a book about the lands (DMbook), followed by modules and clan/splat books, followed by the company stopping there because that's all there is to tell. I realise that Slaine...

What WotC does better than other D20 studios. (mild rant)

If I wanted Mech Warriors, um .. Steam Jacks in my D&D, yes it would. IK is another setting (non White Wolf) I've had a problem with.

What WotC does better than other D20 studios. (mild rant)

Re: Re: What WotC does better than other D20 studios. (mild rant) Ravenloft wasn't a setting back then, it was a module to drop into Greyhawk or any other homebrewed world. It didn't become a campain setting until 1990 ( about the same time as World of Darkness. Hmmm.. )
