    Magic Vestment

That looks like a pretty standard use of Magic Vestments. The real limitation on clerics is the other party members wanting them to use all their spells on them instead. In 3rd Edition, I doubt that there is any more powerful class than a selfish cleric.

Great Cleave against illusions or figments

And for even more Mirror Image fun, conside the following two quotes, both from the spell description: observers can't use vision or hearing to tell which one is the character and which the image and An attacker must be able to see the images to be fooled. If ... an attacker shuts her eyes...

Oh yeah, Robert Wiese's my new best friend...

Well, in my campaing at least, a Haste spell has a finite duration (1 round per caster level to be exact). So this looks like you need to re-activate every 7 rounds to me.

    Monte cook's bard

Umm, how about a link to this awsome bard thing? Wandering blind into montecook.com is like going into the Swamp of Eternal Stench...

    Why play a Ranger?

It's amazing how many "character concepts" just happen (purely by coincidence) to be best expressed by taking a single level of ranger and/or monk.

Can you teleport an unwilling, but unconscious, person with you?

Heh, I think Occam's razor favors my argument; not that I have anything agains potatoes or tubers in general... As a side note, I'd house rule that "willing" actually means "not unwilling" in my own campaing. Just wish they had put that in print.

Can you teleport an unwilling, but unconscious, person with you?

------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are unconcious, then you are not willing. If you are not willing, then you are not being teleported. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is a touch spell discharged if you strike a mirror image?

States "quite clerarly" eh? Well, the spell description also says How clear is that?

Can you teleport an unwilling, but unconscious, person with you?

An unconcious person is neither willing nor unwilling. The spell says: Target: The character and touched objects or other touched willing creatures weighing up to 50 lb./level An unconcious person is not willing, therefore they cannot be teleported (friend or foe).

Can I use a shield like a standrad weapon ?

This only says off-hand but I would think that if you carried the shield in your primary hand, you could apply your full strength bonus to it's damage. Wonder if you could use it two handed? Note that a shield bash requires martial weapon proficiency (not just proficiency with the shield in...

"Weenie List" of Ubiquitous & Popular Magic Items

Actually, a big benefit of the gloves is that you can put pointy, sharp things (like swords) in them. The parts of a Haversack are equivalent to Bags of Holding. If you put an unsheathed sword into one of those, it is going to poke a hole in it and you'll lose all of the contents. I agree...

    Narrow minded DM

So you build up to a +41 Diplomacy in a Hack-n-Slash campaign before you ever tried to use the skill? That doesn't seem right. Personally, a score that high is just too annoying to deal with anyway; so I can easily see the DM ignoring it. Maybe you should try something more realistic in order to...

"Weenie List" of Ubiquitous & Popular Magic Items

How about Hewards Handy Haversack for 2000gp? Who needs a potion belt? Who needs Quickdraw that club, or mace, or bow... Anything you want, there it is as a free action. And speaking of clubs, everyone can use them and they are dandy throwing weapons (10ft range increment and you can add your...

    Killing Trolls

Pouring a flask of oil on something is a ranged touch attack. Bows and Crossbows are the only range CdG weapons allowed. Finger of Fire? So that does 3 points of damage max. Given the crit, that would be 6. So a FORT 16? That's not very hard for a 22CON troll to make...

    Killing Trolls

Ok, so beat down the troll with your trusty sword, finally getting it's subdual damage above it's hit point total. Now what? Sure, you whack it a couple more times to put it at "negative infinity", but that doesn't mean it's going to stay down. If you have just one flask of oil and pour it over...

Advice needed on DM-player conflict (long)

This is not at all out of line for 10th level. In fact, it seems a bit on the low side in my experience. A fireball would average 25 points per target, if you hit 4 targets and 2 save, that's 75 points of damage right there. A wooden shield with Spikes and the Expert shield charge (or Rhino...

    Liches and their unarmed attacks.

There's nothing to say that the touch attack operates differently from a Melf's Acid Arrow either :). The fact that it is not named "Inflict Light Wounds" is enough to indicate that it is not an Inflict Light Wounds spell. I guess we better start our fights by casting "Negative Energy...

    Postmodern/non-linear adventure

How about an adventure where one member of the party has been replaced by a doppleganger psion? This creature has been using various mental powers to confuse and distort the party's memories and cause selective amneasia. But at the same time he is adventuring right along beside them as a trusted...

    Raven familiar and spoken languages

When I asked this a few months back, the general consensus was "YES", a familiar gets the master's skills and speaking a language is a skill. No reason why they wouldn't be able to do it (though IIRC there might be a range limitation).
