I just turned 43 a couple weeks ago, been playing DnD, in one version, or another, since, I was about 12-13

As a DM, I have used Flumphs as serious monsters, had to show the players the entry in the MM to prove that they actually were harmless. I like Nycanada's idea about them being stitchers of worlds, makes me want to use flumphs again as a serious monster, for my new group

I still use MM2, and FF, along with some of the splat books, dont use the 3.0 core books, they are just part of my collection of OD&D, 1st ED, 2nd ED, books, on one of my bookshelves

I took the 10 issues of Pathfinder, that my Sub to Dungeon, and Dragon gave me, probably wont renew it after that. too expensive.

I've run multiple campaigns in the same world, for all the versions of DnD. I keep them separate by running them in different periods of time. In other words, one was set about 100 years before/after the other, so they had some effect on each other, but not much.
