    It's Dark Sun

Woot, nice news. I haven't read the thread, but the cover looks nice and going back to OBS is for the good. So I hope for the best.

What can MMORPGs teach us about world building?

Speaking of small...wasn't there a quote about how Ultima Online was like 4 times the size of North America in the game? I know there was a bit about the time, but I swear there was something about how big it was in virtual size... Oh well, I have no idea how big WOW is, though there were some...

How do you organize large quantities of minis

Well, I don't do it much myself, but I have a friend who uses metal boxes to tote his minis around. Why metal you ask? Because he's gotten little magnets which he glues to the bottoms of them. This makes for easier and safer transportation.

Yay! Just Bought Planescape Boxed Set for $27.00

Congrats! It's always good to get a desired item! I'd post an image of my shelf but it's all boxed up while I await my move. Is it odd that I read the title of that one book as "Geek Mythology" and wondered if its contents included a section on female gamers? :P

Pathfinder 1E Artwork for Pathfinder and others

I've been looking for some Boris Vallejo myself. I'll refrain from posting any pix because I'm sure you can find plenty on your own.

Sexism in D&D and on ENWorld (now with SOLUTIONS!)

I believe this says it best: I can only admire Mr Halmi's imagination, but I wish he'd left mine alone.

    Realm transitions

Well, I'd ask your players if they're comfortable just moving things to the Realms, if you'd like to do that. No reason the players would have to make new characters, though they might well wish to do that. Or you can do the classic magic portal option. Which has a number of variants from...

    Att: WotC - Replacing PDF's

I suspect we won't see anything until after the court case resolves. Wizards probably wants to see what comes from that endeavor before acting.

What's in a name? Cyphers in fantasy

I think the examples you gave are quite evocative and resonant. If anything, I'd say the current edition is going out of its way to be more flavorful than the blandness that was in some of the older editions. Not that 1st, 2nd and 3rd didn't have any, mind you, but I'd say that 4th edition has...

Local Library has 2 D&D books

Less horizontal, but more vertical space. And moving books is a lot easier than moving shelves. I suppose you can do the tilt them on their side option, but that's not very classy.

    Amazing Engine?

Yes, it was released, and it had some decent ideas and interesting settings, but it was a tad...sparse, I guess, so you had to fill in a good bit yourself.

    Warning: Devil's Due Publishing Trojan

Try sending an e-mail to webmaster@devilsdue.net. I send them a note using their contact form, and reporting your post, but I really don't have your logs so I don't know what you saw.

How do you explain overnight Healing in your game?

I wouldn't put it as "according to the rules, you can't break a bone in D&D" but rather, as "the rules don't account for details of injuries such as breaking bones" which puts a different spin on things. I do recall Tabula Rasa the MMORPG did cover it, at least with leg injuries. Of course...

Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

Reminds me of reading about one of the big comic book companies (I think it was DC), deciding to reprint some of their early comics, and having to destroy their archival copies to get some clean scans. Worth it to them? Apparently so as they did it.

Well, if he was as good as he says he was, sure! But maybe next time he'll remember the cardinal rule...if it's not on youtube, it never happened.

No, I'm sorry, we'll need actual footage to verify your claims. Preferably time-stamped.

    Banned from public RPG

Well, if you want to convince us of the quality of your walrus imitation, you could post a video to youtube. Tell me, did the police record your antics? If so, you can probably request a copy as they would be public records.
