Well, I don't do it much myself, but I have a friend who uses metal boxes to tote his minis around. Why metal you ask? Because he's gotten little magnets which he glues to the bottoms of them. This makes for easier and safer transportation.

I wouldn't put it as "according to the rules, you can't break a bone in D&D" but rather, as "the rules don't account for details of injuries such as breaking bones" which puts a different spin on things. I do recall Tabula Rasa the MMORPG did cover it, at least with leg injuries. Of course...

Reminds me of reading about one of the big comic book companies (I think it was DC), deciding to reprint some of their early comics, and having to destroy their archival copies to get some clean scans. Worth it to them? Apparently so as they did it.
